Earth Day…My Favorite Day

Earth Day is tomorrow and I get so excited when for this one day everyone is talking about what I talk about all year.  I am one of those girls that thinks “Earth Day is everyday”.  I truly wish that everyone would be more like-minded, and I know that more and more people are. But, I will take this one day a year to talk up the environment and how easy it really is for us to make it better.

Anyway…  I will absolutely be watching Oprah tomorrow, as she always has a great Earth Day Special.  I can’t wait!!!  And The City of Redmond is holding it’s annual Earth Day Dry Cannon Litter Pick Up on Saturday the 24th from 10:00 to 2:00@ Sam Johnson Park.  Be there if you can!!!  Check out what you can do to chip in in your community.

I am once again coming at you with one of my questions.  Brace yourself!!!  I know that some of you that keep up with me are involved with certain areas of government.  Whether that is just being involved or are in the middle of it, you know more than I do.  So…

How do we work our way to becomeing a plastic bagless community, state,  and country? 

It has been done, and I am sure that we can do it too.  So, if you know anything about how things like this get passed or just the first steps, please let me know.  Thanks and Happy May Day

Hi, my name is Dawn Robison.  I am a wife, mother of two, hair stylist, PTO member, Bunco player and huge into wanting everyone to take part in bettering not only their community, but the earth.  I don’t think that means that everyone needs to do everything “green”.  Doing what you can makes a difference.  If that means that you can just start a worm bin or just use reusable bags at the store then you are on your way.   

I have high hopes for this blog and what it represents.  I want this to be the place that you can ask question, tell us about your wonderful idea, and share some great green news you just heard.    I have been so inspired by other peoples blogs and websites.    I hope that this can become a great place for you to be inspired.  So PLEASE, don’t be shy, let us know what your thinking!!!
